1r Agency is a rapidly growing e-commerce design, strategy, and technology firm with a portfolio of notable fashion, beauty, and lifestyle clients. Together, we work to transform digital shopping experiences and establish a solid online brand identity for our clients. You’ll be the architect of organic visibility for some of the world’s most ambitious luxury and lifestyle brands on Shopify Plus. This isn't a role for someone who wants to hide behind a spreadsheet. We need a "growth brain" who is comfortable working independently but thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. You should stay consistent with learning about the evolving landscape of AI, Search Generative Experiences (SGE), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and share those findings with the larger agency team. You’ll report to the Head of Implementation and Insights 


Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end organic growth strategy across acquisition, retention, and onsite optimization for our portfolio of luxury Shopify Plus brands.

  • Own the strategic planning process by developing quarterly SEO roadmaps that prioritize high-impact initiatives and align with client KPIs.

  • Provide client leadership as a trusted growth advisor by assisting with high-level strategy discussions, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and executive readouts led by our Data Analytics team

  • Partner cross-functionally with Program Management, Paid Media, Email/SMS, Creative, and Tech teams to ensure total strategic alignment and strong execution across all channels.

  • Identify and quantify organic growth opportunities within the evolving AI landscape to support contract renewals and strategically scoped expansions.

  • Lead client-facing interactions, including weekly reporting calls, performance deep dives, and collaborative strategic workshops.

  • Conduct rigorous quality assurance on all technical and content-based SEO outputs to ensure they meet our "white-glove" standards before client delivery.

  • Present comprehensive performance and strategy updates to both day-to-day brand managers and executive-level client teams.

  • Act as an internal "SEO Lighthouse" by proactively sharing industry findings, hosting knowledge-share sessions, and serving as the primary point of contact for team-wide SEO and GEO inquiries.

Qualifications

  • 1-4+ years of experience in SEO or organic growth marketing with a proven track record of driving results for DTC e-commerce brands.

  • Deep, hands-on experience working within the Shopify and Shopify Plus ecosystem, including a mastery of its architectural nuances and app-based SEO challenges.

  • Proven ability to manage complex SEO workflows and technical resources across multiple high-touch agency brand accounts simultaneously.

  • Strong foundational knowledge of DTC e-commerce metrics, including organic contribution margin, CAC, LTV, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead client-facing strategy sessions and present complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate raw data from GA4, Ahrefs, and search consoles into actionable insights and high-level strategic roadmaps.

  • Strategic understanding of the evolving AI search landscape, with a proactive curiosity for testing and implementing Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) tactics.

  • Ability to work both as an independent, self-starting strategist and as a collaborative partner across Creative, Paid Media, and Tech teams.

  • Deep appreciation for luxury brand aesthetics and the ability to balance aggressive organic growth goals with premium brand integrity.
